Meeting in Review, February 3, 2021

The Rotary Club of Washington, D.C. welcomed guest speaker Karl Racine, Attorney General for the District of Columbia.

President Nancy Riker opened the virtual meeting at 12:30 p.m. She welcomed participants.

We listened to the Four Way Test song compliments of the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Sergeant-at-Arms Bob Schott announced birthdays and anniversaries for the week.

Club Historian Monica Smith presented a History Moment on the Hidden Figures of Innovation.

  • President Nancy announced that the 2021 Rotary International Convention will be virtual this June. Those who were unable to go to Taiwan can now experience an RI Convention. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
  • President Nancy celebrated club member Donnie Shaw, who was recently awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Man of the Year Award.
  • Lisa McCurdy presented the DC Foundation Final Appeal.
